こんにちは。I felt the same when I learned Italian in Italy for 4 weeks. Believe it or not, I didn't say a word in class during that time! I just sat there, looking down at the textbooks. But I found places to learn outside the classroom---at stores, on TV, on trains, etc. I hope you can find some places where you feel you can "swim" outside class so that you'll be more comfortable in class.

in fact, I felt that kind of feeling when I first came to the US. I felt that I was behind the class right after the first class began.
I think you can feel confotable soon.
